BIO: Jase Dussia

Jase Dussia

Jase grew up in Michigan and currently resides in southern Louisiana. Since his earliest memory, he has been intrigued by model airplanes. At an extremely young age, Jase would visit the flying field with his dad and watch him fly and work on RC airplanes of various sizes and types. At about 6 years old, he received a flight simulator that jump started the process of actually learning how to fly the models that him and his dad owned. A short time later, Jase soloed a 3-channel foam airplane, and less than a year after that he soloed a 50cc aerobatic Yak 54. Jase’s passion for aerobatics and 3D flight came about from watching local 3D pilots, videos online, and visiting the Extreme Flight

Championships (XFC) as a spectator. At age 10, he took advice from some of his mentors and began competition flying in the form of IMAC. The IMAC experience gave him a foundation and focus on precision in freestyle and 3D flying. In 2012 at age 12, Jase participated in the XFC for the first time and finished in 5th place among some of the world’s best pilots. Two years later at 14, Jase finished 1st at the XFC. Ever since, Jase has worked to improve in this area of flying and many great opportunities have taken place. He also has experience and past success with other types of flying, most notably with turbine sport jets. Throughout the years, Jase has learned a lot when it comes to R&D of high performance RC aircraft and has played big design and testing roles in very successful projects, many of which he has gone on to win international freestyle competitions with. Jase is thrilled to be able to bring that experience to Flex Innovations and collaborate with the likes of Quique Somenzini and Seth Arnold, two individuals that Jase has looked up to for a very long time. A few of Jase’s achievements within RC include:

• -2x Clover Creek Invitational Freestyle Champion
• -2022 French XFC Champion
• -2019 Tucson Aerobatic Shootout Freestyle Champion
• -2018 Red Flag Freestyle Champion

As always, Jase feels blessed to continue to have the ability and opportunity to participate in the hobby and is extremely excited for the future ahead!
